I made this quilt before, during and after the twin towers fell. I remember Bill
Moyers on he radio, giving a lecture in the Berkshires; he was in tears.
It is quilted and framed— I, as was true for everyone I know, felt helpless, and
because I don’t write sappy stories about what inspired me, and who this was made
for, I must say that all I remember was working on this until I had it down.
Like perfect. This was a time when someone came up with phrase evildoers, Bill Maher
was taken off the air because he said it didn’t take a coward to fly these planes
into buildings. Quite the opposite.
